Whipped coffee for dessert! Today I’m sharing two super delicious whipped coffee or dalgona coffee recipes, which taste like dessert. All you need is instant coffee, whipped cream, cinnamon and cocoa powder!
The trendiest coffee of 2020
It’s no wonder dalgona coffee is such a huge trend right now. Most of us are really missing going out to coffee shops and sipping a barista style creamy latte or frothy cappucino. With whipped coffee it’s easy to be a home barista and create a special coffee moment at home with minimal ingredients.
I created these two simple coffee desserts by combining dalgona coffee with vegan whipped cream. I’m using an oat-based whipping cream, but any variety works here!
Whipped cinnamon coffee
Cinnamon gives a yummy sweet flavor coffee!
- 1 tbsp instant coffee
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp hot water
- ~3/4 cups of whipped cream
- 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 cup of plant-based milk such as oat milk made for coffee (I’m using AITO Barista oat milk)
First let’s whip coffee! You need equal amounts of coffee, sugar and hot water to create a thick coffee. You can whip with a whisk, an aerolatte whisk or an electric hand mixer. Just make sure to cover the bowl before mixing with an electric mixer.
When you’ve whipped for about 2-5 minutes, you should have a thick creamy coffee, which stays in the whisk.
Whip vegan cream if it isn’t already whipped.
You can make either a cold or hot beverage. For the hot one warm oat milk, add 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon and about 3/4 of the dalgona coffee. Give it a good mix.
Next put the rest of the dalgona coffee and all whipped cream to a piping bag and pipe a cute generous topping for your coffee. Enjoy!
Whipped mocha coffee
This coffee tastes like a delicious mixture of hot chocolate and whipped coffee.
- 1 tbsp instant coffee
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp hot water
- ~3/4 cups of whipped cream
- 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup of plant-based milk such as oat milk made for coffee (I’m using AITO Barista oat milk)
First let’s whip the coffee! You need equal amounts of coffee, sugar and hot water to create a thick coffee. You can whip with a whisk, an aerolatte whisk or an electric hand mixer. Just make sure to cover the bowl before mixing.

Whip the vegan cream if it isn’t already whipped. Add 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder to the vegan whipped cream. If the cream is not sweetened, you can add some sweetener at this point too.
Warm oat milk and add 3/4 whipped coffee mixing gently. Put cocoa whip and rest of the dalgona coffee to a piping bag and pipe whip on top. Enjoy!
Here’s another great idea you can make with whipped coffee: overnight oats! It’s like having a two-in-one breakfast 🙂 Oats and coffee taste amazing together!
